Wedding Styles
There are three types of wedding photographers:
- Traditional
-
Traditional photographers capture the day with a hands-on
style. Traditional photographers are classically
trained to create the best posing and lighting.
Traditional photographers will give you the most elegant
images with which to remember those great moments of your
wedding day. They will also capture all the normal
candids at your wedding and reception.
- Photojournalist
-
Photojournalists are more of a hands-off "capture what
happens". Anyone with an "auto focus, auto exposure
digital camera" can claim to be a photojournalist. But
too often they do NOT have the training to arrange large
groups or to light a bridal couple properly.
Generally they must shoot 600 to 1800 images to capture a "few" hundred
"good ones". This editing time can generally
drive up the cost of this type of photography. If you
hire a photojournalist that charges less than $1,700, you
probably will not like your
"once-in-a-lifetime" wedding images.
There
are several very good photojournalists in the Dayton area
but their starting price is above what many brides would like to
pay.
Steve Hutchison, one of Dayton's premier
photojournalists, is now associated with Childers
Photography. A great photojournalist with the Childers
Photography's affordable pricing.
- Contemporary Artists
-
Contemporary photographers are the best of both
worlds. They provide just enough hands-on posing to
capture the most elegant images of your special day, while preserving
the spontaneity of the candid moments. The
contemporary artist photographers also have the technical
training to light your images with precision and pose your
groups with elegant flowing lines.
The photographers of
Childers Photography are Contemporary Artists.
With the recent addition of Steve Hutchison, Childers
Photography can now provide the best of Contemporary Artistry or
Photojournalistic styles. Both styles at very affordable
pricing.
